The Shark Fin would provide bicyclists with a convenient new hydration system. The container (and bottle filter) would be secured to and within the central portion of a bicycle’s frame. When a cyclist wished to drink water from the unit, he/she could simply draw the liquid through a tube, which would be connected to the bladder and bottle and positioned above the bike’s handlebars. Such a product would allow a cyclist to enjoy a drink of water in a hands-free manner, as it would eliminate the need to pull a water bottle from a bottle cage on the bike’s frame, take a drink, then replace the bottle within the cage. This would allow him to keep both hands on his bike’s handlebars, which would allow and ensure he could steer and brake the vehicle and thus control the bike at all times. This would also eliminate the risk of a cyclist dropping his water bottle while riding, which would spare him the inconvenience associated with stopping and retrieving the bottle.
