Tuneburg is a concept for an online community that will combine social-networking features such as first, second, and 3rd level connections, with features important to musicians and hardcore fans such as in-line recording, and live interaction. Our license terms will allow the use of copy-written music. Licensing for the use of currently issued copyright materials from the major licensors (ASCAP, BMI, SECAC) is built into the business plan/site architecture. Revenue will be derived from three main sources: 1) “Fremium” subscription model. a. Bands/Musicians: Basic bandwidth and online storage is free, premium subscription adds additional bandwidth/storage levels and features. b. Fans: Access to online content. Streaming is largely free, though there will be upsell for premium access to new works by recognized artists, access to live feeds and so forth. 2) Ad revenue from music retailers, instructors, etc. 3) Online sales such as Amazon click-through for a percentage of revenue.
