Stickypop is a mobile application enabling users to communicate with others in their direct environment by creating geo-social newsfeeds (Spots) exclusive to their location. A specific radius restricts a Spot’s size and only other users located within this radius can see and post content to it (Text and Pictures). With this completely new system we turn social media inside out. Instead of posting for the world to see, people will use StickyPop to better connect and share with others in their direct environment. With limited profile information needed and visibility limited by location, users can share honest thoughts and feelings in which they would have never ordinarily said out loud. Compared to competitors, our system gives users the power to create and opt-in to the experience making it more interesting, relevant and fun. We are currently BETA testing our MVP and will be in the app store in May 2015.
