Health Technologies is developing a wireless system to provide a “real-time” technology to provide self and remote care. We will combine neuro-muscular mechanisms and adaptation that sense critical physiology levels via electrodes knitted into a fabric. These signals, plus details of the person’s movements, are recorded by a sensor; an accompanying consumer-facing application. It will display an “ongoing assessment” determining each equipped athlete’s specific risk for potential traumatic injury as well as any present (or potential long-term future) cognitive effects. This technology will make it possible to monitor and record a wide range of data in real life conditions that is useful to doctors and their patients as well as sports physicians, trainers, players and coaches.
