We make lifelike robot pets for everyone. The robots are small and simple, akin to pets like lizards, grasshoppers, and ants in a colony. They interact with people and each other, and they inspire caretaking. Unlike living pets, Emoters can be owned by people who are allergic to pets, are too young to have them, or are physically disabled. They can be cared for by people who rent their dwellings or move around too much. Anyone can have an Emoter as a pet.
